4 Areas and Categories You Should Know About Health

What is health?

Health is the state of optimal physical, emotional/mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease.

It is important to discuss issues surrounding health all across the board; relating to our youngest and tiniest ones all the way to our seniors.

What do we need to do to remain healthy? How easy is it? How hard is it? What conditions have to be met to get us to that state of optimal health? We are going to delve into these topics in greater detail.

These topics include:

  • Physical Health

  • Nutrition

  • Emotional / Mental Health, and

  • Medical Issues

Each of these topics affects us differently as individuals. In the same manner, it also affects us differently depending on the stage of life we are in.

FOR CHILDREN:

Moms and Dads, we will learn how to best take care of the children that God has given us.

From the time we were blessed with those little bundles of joy to the time we look up at them and wonder where the time has gone.

I will be answering questions such as: What foods and nutrients do our children need to remain healthy? How much exercise do they need? What can we do to ensure our children remain emotionally and mentally sound?

TO PARENTS:

We will also need to learn how to take care of ourselves. As well as, be as healthy and strong as we can be so we can give the best to our children.

We will learn how to treat ourselves with the utmost care so that we give ourselves every opportunity to live the best quality of life with the energy to do so.

I will answer questions such as: How much sleep do you need? What about exercise; how much, what types? Does your emotional and mental state affect your children?

TO OLDER ADULTS:

What about when we get older, and our kids have left the nest?

For those of us that are middle-aged and seniors, what can we do to keep fit and strong so that we enjoy the time we have left? How much do we need to slow down? Do we even have to? These topics will be addressed.

TO YOUNG ADULTS:

Young adults, I have not forgotten you.

You have the most energy and have your whole lives before you. The choices you make now will determine the quality of your life when you get older.

Let's talk about what you can do to make that happen. Your body is well primed and will remain so if you take care of it; again, how does your nutrition, your physical and emotional state affect your health?

“Health is the state of optimal physical, emotional/mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease.” ~ World Health Organization

We will come to realize how intricately God has made our bodies.

Together we will learn how to be the best stewards of the body God has given us.  I welcome suggestions for any topic which you would like for me to discuss in more detail.

Let us learn together about ourselves and the wonderful body that we have been given.
